The area surrounding the cottage is fantastic for keen walkers and cyclists, with the Tarka Trail nearby, and Exmoor National Park (10 miles) within easy reach, offering miles of rugged landscapes and breathtaking walks. The picturesque village of Swimbridge is nearby (2 miles) or you can head into the popular market town of Barnstaple (4.5 miles) which has a choice of restaurants, shops and pubs. Towards the stunning North Devon coast, you will find glorious sandy beaches at Westward Ho! (14 miles) and Instow (13 miles).
