Bibury Holiday Cottages

Known for its honey- honey-coloured 17th century stone cottages, Bibury is a charming little village in the Cotswolds, just outside of Cirencester. Everywhere you look this quaint village has charm and character, so it's not hard to see why William Morris called it 'the most beautiful village in England'. Sandwiched between the main village street and Rack Isle is the River Coln, this little village attracts visitors year-round with the National Trust owned Arlington Row, the grade I listed St. Mary's church and the Bibury Trout Farm.

Tucked away in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty are plenty of traditional Cotswold village cottages. Whether you're looking for a group holiday, a couple's getaway or a pet-friendly break, this part of the UK will be filled with history, nature, outdoor adventure, and exploration.

If you're looking for an ivy-covered cottage with a hot tub and enclosed garden, a ground floor flat with open planning living and a fully equipped kitchen, or a dog-friendly cottage with a roaring open fire and roll up bath, you'll find everything you can think of with us at Snaptrip! Many of our properties are close to the town of Cirencester so you'll have easy access to shops, bars, cafes, and restaurants as well as many of the Cotswolds' most popular attractions. So what are you waiting for? Your next Bibury Holiday Cottage is only a few clicks away!

It is an amazing building and is just right for a large family group. There is so much space that everyone was satisfied with their own en suite accommodation. We ate in on two nights, preparing huge banquets in the massive and well-equipped kitchen (two freezers and two fridges!). The Catherine Wheel Inn is a stone's throw up the road and did us proud on one evening. This mill is an amazing place and there is so much to see in the village and surrounding area. It is a delightful part of the Cotswolds. Just one or two minor gripes. When using previous rented accommodation we have usually had a TV set in the bedrooms. Arlington Mill does not, though we were probably too tired to bother, anyway! The TV in the lounge appears only to receive programmes via Sky as Freeview failed to pick up any signal. The soundbar failed to switch on and is very precariously attached to the set. I am familiar with the model and it seemed to be inverted? We tried everything to get it into action, but it seemed dead. We brought DVD's with us for the grandchildren but were unable to use them as the player was not connected to the set and the leads appeared to be missing. The heating system is quite complex and not to be messed with! The timer appeared to be incorrectly set though we were frightened to fiddle with it and left it well alone! In leaving it as it was the heating seemed to come on very late in the evening and hardly at all in the morning when we were getting up. The master bedroom, however, was always warm. As a result, we had to purchase heaps of logs and used the very efficient log burner to heat the dinning and associated lounge area where we spent most of our time. These are only minor gripes about a holiday let which is second to none. It certainly has the 'wow factor' and is well worth the money. Congratulations to the owners who have done a great restoration job on what is a wonderful old building of some significance.","author":"Peter","date":"2023-04-01","property_id":819169,"created_at":"2024-01-01T01:47:09.800Z","updated_at":"2024-01-01T01:47:09.800Z","rating":null,"rating_out_of":null,"date_of_stay":null,"sentiment":null,"rateable":false},{"id":8576110,"title":"My big concern over booking this was I was not able to get hold of Manor Cottages by phone.","body":"This caused me anxiety as it was our base for my daughter’s wedding at Cripps Barn. It wasn’t until day of our arrival that someone phoned me to say we could get in early, prior to that I did not feel reassured that we would get access. The Mill itself was perfect for our party. Plenty of room for bride to get ready etc. A comfortable, clean base, adequate facilities for rental. Did feel the initial arrival and departure time were excessive 6pm in, 10am out, which did change to 5pm in, still not great, considering amount paid. Also could have mowed the garden and provided more loo paper. Good location in a historical building/village.","author":"Tracey","date":"2024-07-01","property_id":819169,"created_at":"2024-09-01T04:10:11.955Z","updated_at":"2024-09-01T04:10:11.955Z","rating":null,"rating_out_of":null,"date_of_stay":null,"sentiment":null,"rateable":false},{"id":8576109,"title":"Great location, especially in the busy summer months when parking is at a premium and with two pubs nearby!","body":"Stunningly beautiful village.\nThe accommodation was very spacious (huge!), comfortable, clean, well appointed with loads of character and interest. We used the lounge on the first floor to watch the Olympics! Beds were super comfy. \nAs the tallest of our party - I'm 6' 1\" - I had to duck under some of the beams but i didn't bang my head once! \nSmall gripes - some en-suite bathrooms only have hand held showers, not sure why and the wet room on the top floor is a bit strange but it does work. When people are walking about on the top floor, it is pretty noisy for those in the bedrooms below.\nApart from that, all very good.","author":"Victoria","date":"2024-07-01","property_id":819169,"created_at":"2024-09-01T04:10:11.952Z","updated_at":"2024-09-01T04:10:11.952Z","rating":null,"rating_out_of":null,"date_of_stay":null,"sentiment":null,"rateable":false},{"id":8627988,"title":"A lovely property, good location.","body":"Great amenities. We had a problem with the heating and it was rectified within a couple of hours. So great service. My only gripe was the deep cleanliness. Lots of cobwebs, spiders and dead flies. These had been there a while, obviously we'd expect cobwebs and spiders etc in an old building like this, but they had been there a while. Bedrooms and bed linen and bathrooms etc were immaculate. The main area with cleanliness issues was the first floor sitting room and luckily we didn't spend too much time there. I would still give the property a 5 star review. Us 10 girls had the best time. A patio table and chairs would be nice there.","author":"Jenny","date":"2024-05-01","property_id":819169,"created_at":"2024-05-15T23:56:34.676Z","updated_at":"2024-05-15T23:56:34.676Z","rating":null,"rating_out_of":null,"date_of_stay":null,"sentiment":null,"rateable":false}]}' id='seo'>
