lovely beach a short walk from your door which the children really enjoyed. The owner was very friendly and helpful and finding and accessing the premises was easy and stress free. Facilities were good and the beds were really lovely and comfortable. Decor is modern and neutral and children's play area in the garden was a real plus. The location is close to lots of places to visit by car and te heating system kept the house warm and comfortable. There were lots of baby equipment available, which we didn't require but would be priceless for those visiting with babies.\r\nNot so good: The living area isn't very cosy, it's small and the seating is very uncomfortable and impracticable for a family of 6. We found the hot water system a challenge as it is very strictly set and doesnt provide enough hot water for the day. You need to use the shower to run a hot bath ( as the tap temp is limited) which was fine but the booster didn't heat quickly enough to enable the family to all wash throughout the day. Parking wasnât a problem and the helpful pointers from the owners meant we could always park close to the cottage. The church bells do ring regularly and throughout the night but they didnât bother us and we were sleeping in the back bedroom with the window open, this didnât stop us from enjoying many a good nights sleep. We very much appreciated all of the guidance provided by the owners on local walks, things to do and places to eat. Dunster Castle is approx 5 mins walks from the cottage and Dunster beach about 25 mins. \r\n\r\nThe little utility room was great to hang wetsuits after a trip to Wimbleball Lake for a spot of Paddle boarding, as was the washing machine after getting wet on a walk back from Dunster beach. The cottage was furnished to a high standard throughout, the bathroom is downstairs but that didnât bother us, shower over bath nice and powerful and always lots of hot water.
