Guests say

Fair View is a well-loved cottage in Porthleven, Cornwall, praised for its stunning sea views, particularly from the loft room. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, luxurious bathroom, and cosy furnishings. The location is ideal, close to the town and the sea, with easy access to local amenities and eateries. Some guests mention steep stairs and limited parking, but these are minor compared to the overall positive experience.

Guests consistently describe the property as very clean, with no negative comments on cleanliness, indicating high standards are maintained.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to the sea, harbour, and local amenities, with many guests finding it perfect for their stay.

The property is frequently described as cosy and comfortable, with a particularly comfortable bed and luxurious bathroom, though some guests mention steep stairs as a potential comfort issue.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, especially the kitchen. However, a few guests noted maintenance issues and the need for a facelift, slightly lowering the score.

While guests mention a welcome package and the provision of a high standard of equipment, there are not enough details to assess the consistency of thoughtfulness in terms of gifts, so a score cannot be provided.

Lovely house with views across Porthleven beach and the harbour entrance. No parking so be mindful of this!

  • Mrs Surridge

The amazing and stunning view from the loft room is a wowwee moment. The huge master bed is glorious to sleep in and to fall asleep to the soothing and comforting sounds of waves lapping on the shore is incredible. Kitchen has a good supply of equipment. Proximity to the sea is wonderful Parking was an issue. From a personal point of view the very steep steps into the property and steep stairs inside was a challenge daily.
