Reviewers consistently mention the spotless condition of the property, indicating a very high standard of cleanliness that contributes significantly to the comfort and appeal of the cottage.
The location is frequently highlighted as ideal for exploring the Dorset coast and enjoying local walks. However, one review mentions traffic noise due to proximity to a road, which slightly impacts the score.
Guests find the cottage comfortable, with several living spaces and cosy furnishings. The presence of a big bath and multiple social areas adds to the overall comfort level.
The property is lauded for its well-equipped nature, including a washing machine and ample entertainment options. A few minor maintenance issues, such as a rusty bathroom window lock, prevent a perfect score.
The thoughtfulness of the hosts is evident in the warm welcomes and generous welcome packs. While these are highly appreciated, it is politely noted that such gifts, though likely, are not guaranteed for every stay.

The property is maintained to a very high standard and very much a home away from home. The only downside was the atrocious experience of booking and then post-booking service from Skyeâs. Faceless and total inability to divert from a script if you are fortunate to communicate with a human if you manage to get past the amateurish AI.

The owners are lovely and do everything they can to ensure the comfort of their guests - even down to dropping off a new coffee machine this time, when the one in the house was playing up. The home is stunning - beautifully and sympathetically done, and provides multiple areas for socialisation as well as the three beautiful bedrooms. Weâve always stayed as a group from across the generations and it suits us all. My mother, in her 80s, describes this as her home away from home. Abbotsbury is really special and works perfectly as a base for us to spend time in some of our favourite places. Thereâs something magical about this region - definitely somewhere to come back to many times.

Bathroom window lock rusty so we couldn't open the window after a shower - that was the only defect. We would happily recommend this cottage to friends, relatives, and colleagues.
