Ten minutes walk to the coast and lovely walks around and about including over to Sheringham and getting the Poppy Line train back to Weybourne station. We found the area quite dog friendly which was lovely, with cafes etc happy to accept a well behaved dog on the premises - especially useful with the changing weather! An added bonus for us was that for four nights we were treated to a wonderful display of the Milky Way as Weybourne is in the Dark Skies area.\nThe Ship Inn - 2 minutes walk away - does a fabulous Sunday lunch but you need to book in advance....even before you arrive! Our stay was end of September/early October! Evening meals are also served some evenings - again booking essential. Cromer town centre was 1 min down the road and there were several lovely cafes and a Co-op literally round the corner. The bed was also the most comfy thing I’ve ever slept on, it was honestly divine! My daughter enjoyed the bunk beds in the second bedroom and also complimented them on being extremely comfortable. The only reason for not giving a 5 star on everything was that the stairs are so tightly curved and extremely narrow that I was scared to come down them whilst carrying anything, which made things slightly difficult, but we did get more used to them by the end of the week, lol! Annieâs cake shop in Diss is dog friendly to. We spent our holiday cycling down traffic free country lanes and walking along the path beside the train. Moonlight cottage is centrally situated for exploring Norfolk although it was too hot for us to do that. We walked to the river Bure and enjoyed pub lunches nearby. Would highly recommend hiring a day boat to see the nearby Broads. \r\nThe cottage itself was well equipped for a self catering holiday, and spotlessly clean.
